Rumor: Sam Jackson wants to throw on a suit & tie in John Wick 3

A full month has since passed, and I still can’t get over how amazing JOHN WICK CHAPTER 2 was. I lay awake at night dreaming of nothing but Keanu Reeves’s fighting moves, headshots and people being murdered with a pencil. A f@cking pencil. Maybe that means I should see a shrink, but I chalk it up to love of the series. There’s little these movie could do to be more badass…unless this newest rumor about JOHN WICK 3 became a reality:

During a chat between the folks on Meet the Movie Press, one of the reporters, Simon Thompson, said he got to talk to none other than Samuel L. Jackson. Obviously he tried to get some info about INFINITY WAR (which we reported yesterday he’s probably not in), and maybe even a Nick Fury solo outing. But apparently Jackson is less interested in those films than he is being in another sequel….JOHN WICK 3.

“He actually was less interested in that than he was in an idea he floated with me, and he’s floated it with me twice now. He wants to do, over a Nick Fury movie, John Wick 3 with Laurence Fishburne and Keanu Reeves. He absolutely loves the John Wick movies. He wants in. He doesn’t want in, he wants in with a capital IN. Seriously, I think he will do whatever he needs to do to get in on John Wick 3.

I’ll let you clean yourself before we proceed. Watch this in the meantime. Actually, that may not help.

Until this idea comes out of the mouth of Sir Jackson it should be taken as a rumor, but as the most amazing, yes-please-thank-you rumor in the history of rumors. A rumor that Hitler is alive and well and is teaching fifth grade in Baltimore, and that there’s DNA evidence on the way, would be less thrilling than this.

At the very least it's something fun to talk about. As we reported yesterday, Jackson has his Marvel slate a bit more clear than his costars, so he has time to get involved with a new franchise if he wants – even though CHAPTER 3 will probably be the last film for Mr. Wick. But, in hindsight, has Jackson ever been the guy to NOT stack up his schedule? He can do anything he damn well pleases, and I ask him to please get this rolling and make it a reality. We already know he can wrong a suit, tie and gun.
