We're still five years away from 2020, which is when Warner Bros. will finally debut their second attempt at bringing Green Lantern to the big screen, but it's never too early to start speculating. One of the frequent topics of discussion regarding GREEN LANTERN is just who will be slipping on the ring this time around. Both Hal Jordan and John Stewart have been rumoured to be taking on the mantle of Green Lantern, but now Collider is reporting that we might not have to settle for just one main Green Lantern; we could be getting several all at once.
Keep in mind that this is just a rumour and that there's plenty of time for this to change, but apparently Warner Bros. would like Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner to all appear in the upcoming GREEN LANTERN reboot. The franchise will apparently never focus on just one Green Lantern, but will constantly focus on several Green Lanterns at once. As the Green Lantern Corps is chock full of members, this could be the perfect way to keep the public from getting bored with just one Green Lantern over the course of what will most likely be numerous films.
Collider also speculates that Warner Bros. may reveal one or more of their Green Lanterns at Comic-Con, which kicks off on July 9th. It's also likely that we won't have to wait until 2020 to see our new Green Lantern(s), as JUSTICE LEAGUE: PART ONE and JUSTICE LEAGUE: PART TWO will probably serve as our introduction to one or more of the Lanterns. Growing up, Green Lantern was one of my favourite superheroes so I desperately want Warner Bros. to finally get this character right once his solo film drops on June 19, 2020.
Should this news pan out, would you open to having multiple Green Lanterns taking focus as opposed to just one?
