Rumor: Doctor Strange will be introduced on Netflix’s Iron Fist series

Here's a tasty rumor to start your day: Bleeding Cool has heard Doctor Strange will first debut on Netflix's Iron Fist series before his solo movie. The site doesn't know if star Benedict Cumberbatch will actually appear on the show (e.g. filming the character in shadows so you can't tell it's not the actor), but they believe it's very likely Cumberbatch will "at least do the voice."

This would make sense since both Doctor Strange and Iron Fist/Danny Rand are heavily involved with the mystical elements from the Marvel comics, and Strange has also led The Defenders. Danny Rand hasn't even been cast yet though, so things could change, but the site says right now, this is what they "understand is being planned."

Director Scott Derrickson is expected to start shooting DOCTOR STRANGE next month for its November 2016 release, so, if this rumor is true, does this mean Iron Fist will be available on Netflix in early-to-mid 2016? Perhaps, but Daredevil season two and the first season of Luke Cage are both also scheduled to premiere sometime in 2016. Could we really be getting three different Netflix Marvel series in one year? And do you think there's a chance Doctor Strange will end up being introduced on Iron First?

DOCTOR STRANGE will hit theaters on November 4, 2016.
