Rumor: Affleck’s Batman to appear in Suicide Squad; will set up solo movie

Another day, another SUICIDE SQUAD rumor. Forbes has heard Ben Affleck's Batman will appear in the David Ayer directed movie "in an in-story scene, likely at the end of the film." The site also says his appearance will set up the planned solo Batman movie.

Forbes has some additional details about the solo film some of you might want to avoid. There's always a chance their intel is wrong (Forbes even admits it could be old or fake info released to throw people off), but since we have no way knowing if it's legit or not…yup, spoiler warning!

Forbes says the SUICIDE SQUAD in-story scene will focus "on certain circumstances involving the Joker" that will "set up the Joker as a possible/likely antagonist" in the solo Batman flick. The site goes on to say they've heard the film will be partially inspired by Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, and will feature Ellen Yindel (who replaces James Gordon in the Miller comics) as Gotham City's police commissioner.

A lot of this makes sense. We know BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE also took some inspiration from The Dark Knight Returns, and those rumors about Jena Malone playing Carrie Kelley (the female Robin from Miller's story) haven't been cleared up yet either. What do you make of these possible details on SUICIDE SQUAD and the next Batman movie?

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE hits theaters on March 25, 2016, and SUICIDE SQUAD opens on August 5, 2016.
