Back in October Adam McKay said he had been in talks with Marvel about helming an upcoming movie, and now Latino-Review is claiming that McKay is set to direct a film for the studio. McKay was one of several directors Marvel was considering to take over ANT-MAN after Edgar Wright left the project, and while he didn't land the gig, he did rewrite the script with star Paul Rudd.
Now the question (if the site's report is true, of course) is which movie is Adam McKay attached to direct? Well, the Marvel movies that don't have directors yet are THOR: RAGNAROK, BLACK PANTHER, CAPTAIN MARVEL, INHUMANS, and SPIDER-MAN (although the rumor is Drew Goddard will be behind the camera for the solo Spidey film), and the popular speculation is McKay will direct INHUMANS.
But at this point this is only a rumor, and even if Marvel has tapped Adam McKay for one of their new movies, it could be a film that hasn't been officially announced yet. Which planned Marvel flick do you think would be a good fit for McKay?
Adam McKay is currently filming THE BIG SHORT with Christian Bale, Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling, and ANT-MAN will be in theaters on July 17, 2015.
