We are now just over one month away from the Hulu premiere of the eight-part "event series" adapatation of Stephen King's 880 page novel 11/22/63 from J.J. Abrams' production company Bad Robot, and with the day drawing near Hulu has released a trailer that gives us our longest look at the series yet.
Starring James Franco, 11/22/63 tells the story of
Jake Epping, an unassuming divorced English teacher who stumbles upon a time portal that leads to 9/9/1958 and goes on a quest to try and prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. But his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, his falling in love and a past that doesn’t want to be changed.
Sarah Gadon, Chris Cooper, Cherry Jones, Daniel Webber, George MacKay, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Jack Fulton, and Leon Rippy co-star.
The first two hours of the series were directed by Kevin Macdonald, who also executive produced with King, Abrams, Bryan Burk, and Bridget Carpenter, who scripted the adaptation.
11/22/63 reaches Hulu on President's Day, February 15th. With the concept it has and the talent involved, there's no way I'll be missing it.
