For WOLF CREEK director Greg McLean, it has been a long and up hill battle for him to get his follow up feature, ROGUE, out in theaters. With it’s release date repeatedly being pushed back, partly because of the similar shizer-fest that was PRIMEVAL, it was almost safe to say that ROGUE would sit on the shelf until everyone forgot about it.
But now as it seems Dimension Films have kick started the promo train for the film by launching it’s official website. The website opens with the trailer for the film and features some goodies including wallpapers, bios and stills.
If you have come late into the ROGUE circle, the film is about:
Pete is an American travel writer reporting on the booming tourist industry in the Northern Territory. While taking a river cruise he finds himself stuck with a collection of interesting characters, including Kate, the beautiful local tour guide. There is an immediate attraction between the two, but when their boat is rammed by something from below, the tour is thrown into disarray and they become stranded on a tiny mud island. As night falls and the tide starts to rise, the group slowly realize they are being stalked by a huge saltwater crocodile, beginning a terrifying struggle for survival in one of the most remote places in the world.
You can check out the website here. The film stars Radha Mitchell (pictured above and below), Michael Vartan and Sam Worthington. IMDB states that the film opens with a limited release on October 12th, while the official website says it opens November 8th. Whatever the case, keep both dates in mind.
