After finally seeing the trailer and getting a handful of new stills, we now have a look at the poster for the Jose Padilha directed ROBOCOP remake. Unfortunately, it's really not all that special as it's just a shot of Joel Kinnaman decked out in his tactical suit—I was kind of hoping for some sort of nod to the original poster that had the tagline, "Part Man, Part Machine, All Cop". We can't always get what we wan't though! The trailer dropped a couple of weeks ago so be sure to check it out right HERE in case you missed it. Take a peek at the poster below — your move!
In ROBOCOP, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the centre of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilises their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.
Directed by Jose Padilha, ROBOCOP stars Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle and Joel Kinnaman as Alex Murphy. ROBOCOP opens on February 7, 2014.
