Well, shit.
Looks like our hopes of seeing Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's long-awaited sequel to SIN CITY just got a little crushed. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL for was originally set to follow Rodriguez's other sequel MACHETE KILLS (out September 13th) on October 4, 2013, but has now been pushed back nearly an entire year, with its new debut set for August 22, 2014. No specifics for the delay have been released as of yet, but you have to wonder if Rodriguez having two of his films come out only weeks apart wasn't a shaky idea to begin with.
You'll all remember that last year a similar thing happened to G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, when it's release was pushed back nearly a year for the purpose of making it 3D. Could it be possible that SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is undergoing the same 3D treatment? We'll have to wait until we hear an official statement to know for sure, but for the time being you can scratch SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR off your fall schedule and settle in for a longer wait.
Damn. Here's a picture of Eva Green to help assuage this crappy news:
