Rob Zombie says a lot of things and does about half of that. But what he does in the end actually turns out to be some pretty cool stuff. His work with Universal Studios Horror Nights is something many people are anxiously looking forward to and the recent announcement of his next project (finally) had the entire globe sighing in relief. Truly, we can expect a lot of work on his end over the next couple of years…
By the way he’s teaming up with ABC’s EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION for a Halloween special.
If that caught you by surprise, you’re not alone. Dread Central writes that Zombie was already in talks with ABC’s execs for the Halloween themed episode. Don’t take my word for it, check out the press release!
On a special Halloween-themed build, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and famed horror film director/heavy metal musician Rob Zombie traveled to Salem, Oregon, to meet the students at the Oregon School for the Deaf (OSD). The OSD’s annual Nightmare Factory, a spine tingling haunted house, generates much-needed income for the 140-year-old financially-strapped school, a place which students consider their second home. But the 12,000 square foot basement where the Nightmare Factory is usually held has become frightfully unsafe. The “EM:HE” design team had just seven days to make the OSD basement safe again and trick it out in a scary and spectacular way. Marlee Matlin also surprises the students during their visit to the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
The Rob Zombie episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” airs Sunday, October 31st at 8/7 Central on ABC.
Quite the time to get sentimental for mankind, Rob. Oh well, if it has something to do with Halloween and he’s in it then he’ll probably make horror out of it; someway, somehow. Check out the episode when it hits the tubes on Halloween night. I’m pretty sure parents will have fun watching Zombie hacking walls with axes while their kiddies run off to get chocolate wasted.
