Rob Zombie still wants to do House of 1000 Corpses: The Musical

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Back on Valentine's Day, we let you guys know that Rob Zombie says that he'd like to turn his first film HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES into a Broadway musical. And today we're hearing that Zombie STILL wants to make it happen.

Zombie recently revealed:

Oh, that’s something I would totally consider doing because it’s something that I think really lends itself to that. Because that movie, in particular, is so theatrical and so over the top, that it seems like it would work. Especially these days, where you have everything from Spider-Man, to Beetlejuice, to The Addams Family as a Broadway play.

Zombie adds:

I’ve made no moves yet to try and make that happen but it is a backburner thing in my mind all the time.

Rob Zombie’s HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES is coming full circle this year as a series of mazes "inspired" by the 2003 cult classic will be part of this year's Halloween Horror Nights! Halloween Horror Nights begins in Orlando on Friday, September 6 and on Friday, September 13 in Hollywood. Additional details will be revealed soon. Tickets at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are on sale now. Snag yours HERE!

HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES synopsis:

An empty fuel tank and a flat tire lead two couples down a terror-riddled road to the House of 1000 Corpses. "House of 1000 Corpses" is at its core a story of family – a cast of twisted individuals who, with each slash of a throat or stab thru the chest, add bodies to their sick human menagerie.

Zombie wrote and directed HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and the film starred Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon, Karen Black, Rainn Wilson, Walton Goggins, and Tom Towles. Lionsgate Films unleashed it into theaters back on April 11, 2003. Buy the original movie on Blu-ray RIGHT HERE.
