Rob Zombie might direct a sequel to The Devil’s Rejects

I love Rob Zombie's music, as I've been a fan of his since elementary school when Hellbilly Deluxe came out. In fact, I've loved every album he's come out with since then, each one containing at least one kickass song that I play to death on repeat (last year it was "Get High"). However, that love, unfortunately, hasn't transferred to love for his movies. Not saying they aren't interesting, or that they don't have merit, just that they aren't my thing. There's only so much murderous redneck clowns I can take.

And it looks like he's going to be doing more of the same. While he attempted to branch out with things like the HALLOWEEN reboots and the more arthouse THE LORDS OF SALEM, according to Bloody Disgusting, it seems his next film is going to be sequel to THE DEVIL'S REJECTS (itself a sequel to his debut feature, HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES). Those films followed a group of murderous rednecks who SPOILER ALERT die at the end of THE DEVIL'S REJECTS (in a prolonged scene scored to "Freebird"). However, this doesn't seem to be a prequel, so either they didn't die, or some supernatural bullshit is going to be a part of the plot.

Now, look, Rob Zombie seems like a cool dude, and I wish him the best. And if this is the only kind of stuff that he wants to do, or is the only type of film he can get funded, more power to him. I just won't be watching them, and will instead be looking forward to his next album.

So any fans of THE DEVIL'S REJECTS or HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES? If so, you down for a third film? Either way, sound off below!
