It has been five months since production wrapped on writer/director Rob Zombie's new film 3 FROM HELL, a sequel to his HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, but the balk of post-production has been on hold so Zombie could focus on the music side of his entertainment career – he had a tour to go on with Marilyn Manson.
Zombie had previously promised that he would get back to work on 3 FROM HELL "in September", and now that the Manson tour is officially over he is sticking to the plan: new posts on his Instagram account indicate that he is turning his attention back to 3 FROM HELL.
Zombie marked the occasion by sharing a selfie he took with stars Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Richard Brake on the last night of filming. That was followed by a picture of him sitting on set with Moseley and Jeff Daniel Phillips, wondering "what crazy f*cking mayhem is about to explode?"
3 FROM HELL doesn't have an official synopsis yet, but we do know that the story involves Moseley and Moon Zombie's characters Otis and Baby, along with Sid Haig's Captain Spaulding, surviving the shootout at the end of THE DEVIL'S REJECTS and spending some time in prison.
Moseley, Moon Zombie, Brake, and Phillips are joined in the cast by Emilio Rivera, David Ury, Dee Wallace, Pancho Moler, Austin Stoker, Tom Papa, Dot-Marie Jones, Richard Edson, Richard Riehle, Kevin Jackson, Billy Blair, Steven Michael Quezada, Bill Oberst Jr., Sylvia Jefferies, Sean Whalen, Clint Howard, and a couple actors reprising their roles from THE DEVIL'S REJECTS: Danny Trejo and Daniel Roebuck.
3 FROM HELL is expected to be released sometime in early 2019.
