The steady flow of casting news for writer/director Rob Zombie's new film 3 FROM HELL, a sequel to his films HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, continues as the project continues to make its way through production. Three more cast members have been announced since Thursday's confirmation that Clint Howard will be in the film as a clown called Mr. Baggy Britches, and two of the new additions are actors who have worked with Zombie before.
The first to be announced was David Ury, who played the killer clown Schizo-Head in Zombie's most recent film, 31. Then came the news that Tom Papa, who voiced heroic luchador El Superbeasto in Zombie's often overlooked animated feature THE HAUNTED WORLD OF EL SUPERBEASTO (and wrote that film with Zombie), will also be appearing in 3 FROM HELL.
The third announcement was of a cast member who is working with Zombie for the first time on this film, 6'3" bodybuilder and arm wrestling champ Dot-Marie Jones (pictured above). Jones is probably best known for her role as Coach Beiste on the TV series Glee.
Zombie made these casting announcements on his social media accounts, where he has also shared some images from the set, like the selfie with actor Jeff Daniel Phillips that's embedded below. He's still keeping us in the dark when it comes to plot details, though.
Howard, Ury, Papa, Jones, and Phillips co-star with Daniel Roebuck, Austin Stoker, Dee Wallace, Emilio Rivera, and Billy Blair. Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, and Sheri Moon Zombie lead the cast, reprising their roles from CORPSES and REJECTS.
