Road pushed back

October was so close, and with it was supposed to come the THE ROAD. Unfortunately, it’s been pushed back again.

It hasn’t been pushed too terribly far, the new release date is set for Thanksgiving (November 25th). THE ROAD will be up against NINE, NINJA ASSASSIN, OLD DOGS, and THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX has it’s wide release. I’ve never gone and seen a movie on Thanksgiving but if I did I’d most likely go see ROAD or ASSASSIN.

After the clips I posted last week, I was really excited that I would be getting to see it next month. The only good thing about this is that maybe I’ll have time to read the book before I see it.

So why the delay? Are they planning for awards season perhaps? With all the movies it’s opening with, I just don’t see why they would pull a move like this. I think ROAD has a decent chance to come out on top, but who knows these days. I was surprised when I found out GI JOE was number one at the box office. The only thing we can hope for is that it’s not pushed back any further.
