In a couple weeks, RLJE Films will be giving a North American release to writer/director Chris von Hoffmann's MONSTER PARTY, a horror thriller that looks rather similar to DON'T BREATHE – this one just happens to have more characters and it takes place in a better part of town.
The story follows
follows three thieves who plan a daring heist posing as waiters at a fancy Malibu mansion dinner party in hopes of paying off an urgent debt. When their plan goes horribly wrong, the trio realizes the dinner guests are not as innocent as they seem and their simple cash grab becomes a violent and desperate battle to get out of the house alive.
What has me guaranteed to check this one out is its cast. The group assembled to carry out the film's violent acts includes Julian McMahon, Robin Tunney, Sam Strike, Erin Moriarty, Lance Reddick, Brandon Michael Hall, Virginia Gardner, and Diego Boneta.
Yeah, I have to see that bunch go crazy on each other.
MONSTER PARTY hits VOD, Digital HD, and select theatre screens on November 2nd. The poster and trailer, which the folks at Collider got the first look at, can be seen below.
