The untimely passing of actor Ray Stevenson has shocked us all. I personally fell in love with the actor when I first saw him as Titus Pullo in the excellent series Rome. I still can’t believe that he’s gone. What a loss. Which is why on this week’s The Arrow in the Head Show, we decided to revisit his take on Frank Castle in the 2008 Punisher: War Zone. Stab the embed above to hear our thoughts!
Directed by Lexi Alexander, the film is about: Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, turns the streets of New York City red as he wages a one man war against the crime syndicate responsible for the death of his wife and two kids. Aided by his trusted sidekick, Microchip, he almost kills Billy Russoti and leaves him horribly disfigured. Billy renames himself Jigsaw and with the help of his crazed brother Loony Bin Jim, recruits criminals from every corner of the city to do battle with Frank.
The film stars Ray Stevenson, Wayne Knight, Dominic West and Julie Benz.
The Arrow in the Head Show‘s M.O. is: After many years behind the scenes, we’ve decided to take our sarcastic, booze-influenced style into the video age with The Arrow In The Head Show! Hosted by John Fallon aka The Arrow and Lance Vlcek, we will dig into the good, bad, and ugly of horror from the golden ages of the ’80s through the underrated 90s and maybe a bit beyond. Something groovy and a tad rough around the edges, we are here to talk shop with a drink in hand, a bit of foul language, and a whole lot of heart.
