Actress Elizabeth Pena, who co-starred in LA BAMBA and Adrian Lyne's disturbing classic JACOB'S LADDER, has passed away at the age of 55 in Los Angeles after suffering from a brief illness, according to Variety.
Pena has appeared in many films in a career that spanned four decades, including RUSH HOUR, BLUE STEEL, and BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED. Also a talented voice actress, Pena lent her voice to the “Justice League” animated series, “American Dad!” and to Disney-Pixar’s THE INCREDIBLES, voicing Mirage.
Genre fans will best remember her work in Lyne's 1990 classic JACOB'S LADDER, playing the role of Jezzie opposite Tim Robbins.
The actress recently wrapped work on the first season of El Rey Network’s “Matador,” in which she played the title character’s mother.
