Some sad news today as we just got word that actress Kellye Nakahara has passed away at the age of 72. Best known for her role as Nurse Kellye on M*A*S*H, I will always know her for her role as Mrs. Ho – AKA The Cook – in director Jonathan Lynn's killer murder-mystery comedy CLUE.
Her daughter, Nalani Coleman, confirmed the news on Facebook, writing:
My mom was my best friend. We talked or saw each other every day. We laughed and giggled and always had the best time together. She was so genuinely funny and kind and people were drawn to her. I still want to be her when I grow up. She passed on 2/16. We are all devastated and will miss her more than can be known.
Nakahara was born on January 16, 1948, in Oahu, Hawaii, and died on February 16, 2020, in Pasadena, California.
Some of her other notable roles include appearances in such projects as SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH, DOCTOR DOLITTLE, NYPD BLUE, 3 NINJAS KICK BACK, GROWING PAINS, SHE'S HAVING A BABY, AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON, and KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER.
