Ingenious tech titan Steve Jobs has passed away at age 56.
The Apple co-founder, the visionary behind the company’s omnipresent innovative creations that are now his legacy, succumbed to a long illness just six weeks after stepping down as CEO.
“We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,” the company said in a statement. “Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”
Jobs also co-founded the revolutionary Pixar animation studio, the massive success of which inevitably led to him becoming the single largest shareholder of Disney stocks and joining the Disney Board of Directors.
Regardless of whether you’re a Mac or a PC, Jobs left an undeniable and enduring impact on consumers, media, culture, business and technology.
