Riley Keough, Jaeden Martell and Lia McHugh talk family terror in The Lodge!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Genre fans have been pretty lucky over the past few years. Lately, for every terrible horror flick, we seem to have one or more that transcend just being boo scares and silly plots. One such feature is the hauntingly disturbing GOODNIGHT MOMMY from the very talented twosome, Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz. And frankly, they aren’t even close to done. In their latest, THE LODGE, they examine a very complex and intensely unsettling family dynamic, one that would be hard enough without the horror they bring. What I will tell you is that the film is that it stars the stunning Riley Keough, Richard Armitage, Alicia Silverstone, Jaeden Martell and Lia McHugh. And the less you know about this slow burn, yet horrific family drama, the better of an experience you’ll have.

Recently, we had the great pleasure of chatting with Riley Keough, Jaeden Martell and Lia McHugh. Thankfully, as disturbed as this thriller was, the actors were about as enjoyable as possible. Considering how unexpected and unpredictable the film is, it was slightly difficult to discuss this particular tale. They did however open up about working with such talented filmmakers, as well, how they each developed their relationships on screen. It was a fun discussion and far less freaky than this terrific film. I’m genuinely hoping that audiences seek out this unnerving and powerful thriller. THE LODGE opens this Friday, and it’s well worth seeking out if you love great genre.
