THE MARTIAN brought to life a gripping, and oftentimes funny, story of astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) who is presumed dead and left behind on the big, red planet. As you no doubt have gathered, Watney survived and worked toward contacting Earth so that he could make his way back home. Ridley Scott put together an entertaining adaptation that was ALMOST on par with the book (check out our review here), and while it was announced last week the flick would hit home on January 12, 2016 (Dec. 22 for Digital HD), we now have a list of what features to expect.

The 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and Digital HD release will have more than 90 minutes of special features including an exclusive newly produced in-world retrospective featuring Jeff Daniels, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Sean Bean covering the “true story" behind the daring rescue seven years after the events of the film occurred. THE MARTIAN also includes two making of documentaries, a gag reel and more. Check 'em out!
