Rick and Morty season four confirmed to debut this November

Fans of the deliriously great show RICK AND MORTY are used to waiting long periods of time between seasons, and so far, the wait for season four will have been the longest yet. But thankfully the wait is almost over, and soon you’ll be treated to a whole new series of inter-dimensional and somewhat inappropriate adventures as it was announced today that after two years since the end of season three the fourth season will debut this November.

The news was announced this morning by WarnerMedia during a presentation in New York (via Variety), though at this time there’s no precise day of release. The debut of the season will come just over two years after the third season ended in October 2017, and while the wait has surely been arduous, fans were thrown a bone when it was announced last may that Adult Swim had renewed the show for an additional 70 episodes, which by the end will bring its total up to 101.

The series from Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland has not only maintained a rabid fanbase over the years but has been hailed by critics as one of the best animated shows on TV. On top of maintaining consistently great reviews and earning the best ratings in Adult Swim's history, it started picking up some serious awards for its third season, including some Critics Choice and Annie awards, with its biggest triumph being an Emmy win for Outstanding Animated Program.

While I'm appropriately psyched for new episodes, the more diehard members of the fan base are beyond over the moon. The community around the show is pretty intense, and the show has all sorts of toys, games, clothing and even a virtual reality experience out there for fans to indulge in. Well, after a year and a half since the last season ended fans only have about another six months, so they're in the home stretch. Just hang on, buds.
