What happens when you take two assassins who DO NOT get along and make them go on an adventure together? Well, a ton of shenanigans I can tell you, filled with disagreements, bickering and downright looks of “is this guy cr-azy or what?” If all that sounds more fun than a bag of cats then THE HITMAN’S BODYGUARD is for you, with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson playing two seasoned killers who are forced to team-up for a whacky road trip filled with beatings, bullets and good-hearted laughs.
In all honesty this looks like it could be a pretty fun time. The action looks stylish at a glance and Reynolds and Jackson seem to bounce off each other nicely. In short it could be an entertaining ride at the movies for anyone into action-comedies. The marketing has been focusing on more of a meta humor angle, especially with the THE BODYGUARD poster parody, which could work well in the movie's box office favor. It could be a hit, but it could be a dud if it looks better than it actually ends up being. Time will tell. But, seriously, are these two cr-azy or what?
THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD is set for August 18.
