We have been keeping close tabs on Axelle Carolyn's atmospheric ghost story SOULMATE, most recently bringing you the latest one-sheet and intriguing trailer for the Neil Marshall-produced flick. Now we have word that SOULMATE has been scooped up for distribution in North America, and we've learned that it'll be coming our way in time for Halloween!
Screen Daily is reporting that Revolver Entertainment USA has scooped up the North American rights to SOULMATE, and is working to pencil in an October release in time for Halloween. No exact date has been given yet, but we'll keep you posted.
The film is produced by Claire Otway and is a Neil Marshall (THE DESCENT, DOG SOLDIERS, CENTURION) presentation for production company Sterling Pictures. Executive producers on the film are Michael Riley, John Wolstenholme, and Doug Abbott for Screen Projex, alongside Belgian co-producer Title Media.
SOULMATE follows a young woman who retreats to a remote cottage after a failed suicide attempt. She soon discovers the cottage is haunted by its previous owner but decides to remain, hoping to find comfort in the ghost.
The cast of SOULMATE includes Anna Walton, Tom Wisdom, Clare Higgins, Nick Brimble and Emma Cleasby.
