Writer/director Jake Mahaffy's psychological thriller Reunion is getting a theatrical, VOD, and Digital release today, courtesy of Dark Sky Films – and to help build the hype, we've gotten our hands on an EXCLUSIVE clip, which you can see in the embed above!
Reunion stars Julia Ormond, who is said to deliver "a tour-de-force performance of threateningly quiet intensity". The film has drawn comparison to the likes of Ari Aster's Hereditary, Jennifer Kent's The Babadook, and Natalie Erika James' Relic, and it has the following synopsis:
A pregnant woman returns to her recently deceased grandparents’ old family home to spend time with her estranged mother. What begins as a tenuous reunion slowly turns terrifying.
We hear that Reunion "preys upon perception", and has "a twisty narrative that will burrow itself into the darkest corners of your mind". Well, this all sounds quite good to me.
Reunion was produced by Nadia Maxwell, Ainsley Gardiner, Georgina Conder, and Mike S. Ryan.
Ormond is joined in the cast by Emma Draper, Cohen Holloway, Ava Keane, Gina Laverty, and John Bach.
