Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson shared the news back in August that filming of RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER was being postponed due to the franchise star learning she was pregnant. Since star and director are married, it was pretty obvious that production would hinge on when they would be ready to move forward and now it appears that they have it all figured out.
Jovovich shared the news regarding the updated timetable for production on RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER via her Facebook page.
I’m really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming “Resident Evil- The Final Chapter” in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice’s new “easy mama access” costume;)) so I don’t want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to “action hero” mode!
Whether you love or hate the RESIDENT EVIL films, you likely have found yourself watching at least one of them either by choice or when stumbling through your cable channels. I liked the first film but lost interest in the four sequels. Since RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER is purporting itself to be the last movie in the series, I may be willing to give it a shot and see how they wrap up the sprawling mythology they laid out for themselves.
With production set for the end of summer, I would venture to guess we don’t see the finished movie until sometime in early 2016.
