Sony is offering up a very interesting proposition for consumers who own specific Sony HDTVs or Blu-ray players. They’re offering a 24-hour rental of CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS for free four weeks before the DVD/Blu-ray release. Customers who already own networked Bravia equipment will be able to rent for $24.95.

Would a free download make me want to buy a Sony TV? Not sure but it’s an interesting idea and one that Sony could continue to offer consumers in the future…
