Renfield: The Undead to finally premiere at the Bram Stoker Film Festival!

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Alright so we all know who Dracula’s man-slave was and we know he endured about a billion alternate endings during his existence so this shouldn’t really catch me off guard.

But it does.

The premiere of director Bob Willems’ RENFIELD: THE UNDEAD is coming to you UK schmoes in a couple of weeks whether you’re ready or not. When are we ever are? Want to know what you’re in for? Read more for a look at the synopsis:

R. N. Renfield (Nichols), once the slave of Dracula, is now an insane vampire stalking a modern metropolis (Bayou City). Known as “The Bayou City Butcher”, he is pursued by Detective Paul Cranston, a driven homicide investigator who always gets his man.

Renfield is also sought by Mina Harker (newcomer Roxy Cook), now also a vampire, and her hybrid-vampire son, Quincy (Tackett). The dark pair are seeking a relic in Renfield’s possession: the skull Of Dracula. It is their intent to use the skull to resurrect Dracula and restore the house of Dracula.

It is a game of cat and mouse in which the mad vampire Renfield reveals his ancient past with the Vampire Lord Dracula and battles the forces of darkness and the mortals of Bayou City.

So there you have it. Renfield is a vampire who everyone is out looking for and while they fail he’s busy munching on some fine ladies. I can dig that. The film is said to also have a nice cameo with the dark prince himself. Veteran stage actor John W. Stevens will take the role of Count Dracula with Phil Nichols playing R. N. Renfield. Nichols is also the film’s screenwriter. Stevens and Nicholas are joined with Julin, Cory Hart, Shelley Boozer, Mel House, Paul Damon, Joe Grisaffi, Tyler Tackett, and Keli Wolf.

Looking forward to getting your throat sucked out? Head over to Whitby, England during the Bram Stoker Film Festival on October 14th-17th for your chance. Truth be told, I wasn’t too sure about my intentions with this flick until I saw some groovy pics. I gotta admit it’s going somewhere that I really like. Strike down below and let us know what you think. This new film sending chills down your spine?
