Release of A Quiet Place Part II has been pushed back another seven months

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Writer/director John Krasinski's A QUIET PLACE PART II was supposed to reach theatres back in March, but it got bumped back to a September 4th release due to the global pandemic. With the pandemic still going on and the re-opening of theatres uncertain, Paramount has decided to delay the film again. A QUIET PLACE PART II is now scheduled for a theatrical release on April 23, 2021. Thirteen months after its original release date.

Paramount's Chris Aronson and Mark Viane had this to say about the situation:

We truly believe that there is no movie-viewing experience like the one enjoyed in theatres. We are committed to the theatrical experience and our exhibition partners, and want to stress that we are confident that, when the time comes, audiences everywhere will once again enjoy the singular joy of seeing Paramount films on the big screen."

The sequel to A QUIET PLACE (which you can watch HERE) has the following synopsis:

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

Returning cast members Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe, are joined by Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou. Krasinski also makes an appearance.

I don't really mind this new delay, because I don't have any intention of going to theatres as soon as September.
