Release date & special features announced for The Martian extended edition

It turns out the rumors were true! 20th Century Fox has officially announced that an extended edition of Ridley Scott's THE MARTIAN will be released this summer on June 7th.

The extended cut, which will be available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, Digital HD and DVD, will feature 10 minutes of new footage, and it will also include more than two hours of behind-the-scenes content, such as deleted scenes and an audio commentary by Scott, screenwriter/executive producer Drew Goddard and author Andy Weir.
