Dwayne Johnson previously told us that the release date announcement for his Netflix film Red Notice, co-starring Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot, was imminent and he wasn't wrong. Johnson took to his Instagram page to unveil a new image from the film and he provided us with the official release date that was soon confirmed by Netflix.
Red Notice will premiere on Netflix on November 12, 2021. Per the film's logline, "An Interpol-issued Red Notice is a global alert to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted. But when a daring heist brings together the FBI’s top profiler (Johnson) and two rival criminals (Gadot, Reynolds), there’s no telling what will happen." Red Notice is reportedly the most expensive Netflix movie made to date with a reported budget of $200 million+. The project began filming in early 2020 and the shoot managed to reach completion by November of the same year, despite the onset of the global pandemic. Johnson referred to the work being done on set to keep everyone safe as the "most aggressive health and safety Covid measures in all of Hollywood." While many other productions suffered substantial film delays throughout the year due to the pandemic, Red Notice managed to keep on trucking virtually unscathed.
