Just a couple days ago, we told you about Adrienne Palicki and Josh Peck joining Chris Hemsworth in the upcoming RED DAWN remake and today, “Latino Review” has gotten word that Bourne trilogy scribe and all-around bad ass writer Tony Gilroy has been contracted by MGM to rewrite the script, which is credited to Carl Ellsworth and Jeremy Passmore. The 1984 John Milus original centered a group of high school teens who band together to fend off an invading Russian and Cuban force. It seems like the remake won’t be using a contemporary setting or updating the story in any way. The commie bastards get what’s coming to them on September 24th, 2010 with production set to start in the Fall.
