Fans of TED and/or Seth MacFarlane get ready to be happy. Shit, even if you're not really a fan, this still looks pretty hilarious.
A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST has dropped a red-band trailer and it's chock full of crude humor and some violent deaths, painting a portrait of what to expect from a western by Seth MacFarlane. Starring MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Neil Patrick Harris, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Sarah Silverman, and Giovanni Ribisi, the film looks to be largely a parody of the genre, a la BLAZING SADDLES, with an equal (if not more so) blend of raunchy humor.
"People die at the fair":
Here's the synopsis:
A cowardly farmer seeks the help of a gunslinger's wife to help him win back the woman who left him.
I wasn't as blown away by TED as many others were, but this looks like a f*cking riot. It's so out of the box to even have a western/comedy on the docket as a big summer release (let alone even made) and it looks like they had a damn blast making this. I'm sure there will be an unsightly amount of on-screen deaths (hence, the title) that will make for some good laughs, not to mention a steady stream of raunch and profanity. If this thing has nudity then it may be the best movie of the summer. It’s possible.
A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST rides into theaters on May 30, 2014.
