Red band Never Goin’ Back trailer teases a raunchy story about friendship

We all want to grow up and live the absolute best life we can, and for some that means partying, getting high and telling all the haters to go f**k themselves. The girls in NEVER GOIN’ BACK are embracing their raunchy, uninhibited sides and doing anything they can to earn a few bucks to get out of their plain Texas town. The first trailer for the movie perfectly highlights the crude, hilarious nature of best friends Angela (Maia Mitchell) and Jessie (Camila Morrone), and shows off the extremely positive reviews for Augustine Frizzell’s debut film.

Never Goin’ Back is a fresh and funny look at female friendship, following Angela (Maia Mitchell) and Jessie (Camila Morrone), who dream of escaping their waitressing jobs at a low-rent Texas diner, even if it's only to Galveston. Taking place over just a few days, the film follows their hilarious and unpredictable misadventures on the streets of suburban Dallas as they attempt increasingly madcap and wild schemes to try and raise some cash.

The movie screened at Sundance this year and was later bought by A24. So far, the reviews have been positive and it holds a 78% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie looks funny and suitably crass, featuring two winning performances from Mitchell and Morrone. There are a lot of movies out there about young people trying to live their best lives, and I can't help but think they're better when they embrace a wild, more spirited side of the characters. We all know people at that age curse like sailors, so a PG-13 just ain't gonna cut it.

NEVER GOIN' BACK hits theaters August 3.
