The highly-anticipated SCREAM sequel will be directed by up-and-coming directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who helmed the really enjoyable horror political flick READY OR NOT. It was expected In an interview with Collider, star Samara Weaving said she had to turn down a role due to scheduling issues. Here's what she had to say:
We were talking about it, but our schedules aren’t gonna work, which is a bummer. We talked about it a lot, but unfortunately, because of scheduling, I couldn’t do it. I”ll still be [in Australia], working on Nine Perfect Strangers, so we couldn’t make it work. Traveling is very difficult these days.
This is definitely a bummer, as Weaving was great in READY OR NOT. But we'll definitely be seeing her again (not just in the aforementioned NINE PERFECT STRANGERS, but also BILL AND TED: FACE THE MUSIC and the upcoming GI: JOE origin story SNAKE EYES), and there's nothing saying another collaboration can't happen in the future.
So what do you guys think? Fans of READY OR NOT? Either way, sound off below!
