Co-writer/director John Krasinski's hit horror-thriller A QUIET PLACE (co-starring his wife Emily Blunt) was unanimously one of the very best films of 2018. Horror or otherwise. In fact, here at AITH, the movie made only made our 10 Best Films of 2018 list (read that HERE) but the movie also landed a top spot on our Five Best Scenes of 2018 countdown (which you can read right over HERE). Needless to say, the film is a new classic for sure. And it is with this in mind that I wanted to make sure and share with you guys a killer bit of behind the scenes stuff.
Recently the film made it's screenplay available to the public as it is entering the Oscar race for Beast Orignal Screenplay this year. Let ut be known for those who aren't up on such matter, the movie HAS NOT been nominated for that Oscar (at least not at the time of this post). All the same, if you're into screenplays as much as this guy, I highly suggest checking it out ASAP. You can do so RIGHT HERE.
The film is based on a screenplay written by Krasinski along with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck and is:
A taut and original thriller that follows a family who must navigate their lives in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and Lee (John Krasinski) are determined to find a way to protect their children at all costs while they desperately search for a way to fight back. The film earned a 95% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes and generated an extraordinary $175M+ at the domestic box office.
And for those of you that like to watch your movies instead of reading them, no worries as the flick is now available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD from Paramount Home Media Distribution. You can pick up a copy of the movie on Blu-ray HERE.
