If you’re one of the many people who finds themselves depresssed that AVATAR isn’t real, you can further your enjoyment of James Cameron’s blockbuster with the official script. We’ve got the script for the film available for download and you can reflect back on the film, check out some of the scenes that were edited from the theatrical cut or bring it to the theater and talk along with Jake and Neytiri ROCKY HORROR style (actually, PLEASE don’t do that last one).
AVATAR, it was just announced this morning, was nominated for a Writers Guild of America award for Best Original Screenplay. It’ll surely be nominated for an Oscar as well despite the story being the most roundly criticized aspect of the film (I can understand any and all technical kudos but Best Original Screenplay?).
