Two companies merging to give us nothing but genre titles? F*ckin-A!

Today it was announced that Raven Banner Entertainment has joined forces with Toronto based sales company 108 Media to do just that…give us more genre films! Word is a trio of projects are already on the slate, one of which we’ve heard about (HOUSE OF DUST, peep our Exclusive Stills HERE), two we have not: AUTUMN BLOOD and DEEP DARK CANYON.

So let’s hear about them…

AUTUMN BLOOD – from director Markus Blunder – is a survival thriller about a teenage girl and her younger brother on the run from mountain villagers. Sophie Lowe, Peter Stormare and Gustaf Skarsgard all star.

DEEP DARK CANYON, from writer/directors Abe Levy and Silver Tree, centers on: Bloom Towne, a small-town sheriff under the thumb of the well-established, deeply influential Mayor Dick Cavanaugh’s family. When Bloom’s two teenage sons, Nate and Skylar accidentally shoot and kill Dick during a deer-hunt, Bloom’s long-held allegiance to the reigning Cavanaugh clan is tested. Skylar (still a minor) decides to take the rap for his older brother Nate, claiming he fired the fatal shot. The Cavanaugh family’s quick retaliation sends Skylar on his way to county jail, soon to be tried as an adult. Desperate and guilt-ridden, Nate breaks Skylar out of jail and sets off a chain of lawless acts, which send them deep into the woods and on the run. Bloom’s choice between the law and his sons leads to revelations of old family secrets that threaten to destroy everything he loves.

DEEP DARK CANYON has an interesting cast that includes Nick Eversman, Ted Levine, Martin Starr, Mathew Lillard, Michael Bowen and Justine Bateman (below).

No dates have been given for any of the pics, but stay tuned, we’ll get them to you shortly. In the meantime, tell us which of the three interests you most.
