Raven Banner bites into Lowell Dean’s Wolfcop

Here's some news to howl over! Screen Daily is reporting that Raven Banner has has acquired world rights to CineCoup’s WOLFCOP and will commence sales in Cannes.

The action horror-comedy was greenlit one year ago at the 2013 Banff World Media Festival and centers on an alcoholic cop who discovers he is a werewolf. Lowell Dean directed and Bernie Hernando and Hugh Patterson produced the film, set to open in Canada through Cineplex theatres on June 6.

We've been watching the moon and keeping an eye out for news regarding WOLFCOP lately, bringing you a kickass poster last month, and delivering you the crazy trailer for the flick just last week. I can't lie: I'm actually looking forward to checking this one out. It looks like a goofy good time.

Howling at Canadian cinemas this summer before opening everywhere else in the fall, WOLFCOP is packing the following synopsis (if you really need it):

It's not unusual for alcoholic cop Lou Garou to black out and wake up in unfamiliar surroundings, but lately things have taken a strange turn. Crime scenes seem oddly familiar. Lou's senses are heightened, and when the full moon is out, he's a rage-fueled werewolf. WOLFCOP is one cop's quest to become a better man… One transformation at a time.

WOLFCOP hits select Cineplex theatres June 6th; for more info, head to the official site.
