With the avalanche of sequels and franchises that will blanket multiplexes this summer, everyone is expecting big numbers at the box office. There’s one major release that I think most of us are forgetting about, that’s gotten smothered underneath the pile of spiders and pirates and potters, and it’s called RATATOUILLE. This is of course Pixar’s annual summer release, and you show me a Pixar release that hasn’t killed at the box office and I’ll show you where the treasure is buried. For some odd reason, this film isn’t receiving the huge marketing push of previous Pixar films, but judging from the new trailer, they haven’t missed a step. It’s directed by Brad Bird, who won an Oscar for THE INCREDIBLES, and if you can show me an Oscar winner who’s made a bad film since their win, I’ll give you my credit card number. That was a joke. The film opens on June 29th and you can see the trailer HERE.
