I'm going to be completely honest here and say that I had ZERO idea that there was ever a reality TV series based on A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. I don't know how this happened, but I never heard one bit of info on the series. Until today.
Turns out there was a series called A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: REAL NIGHTMARES back in 2005. It was quickly canceled after four episodes because CBS (wtf?) thought the series was too close to FEAR FACTOR. Which from what I've read on the show, makes a lot of sense.
That said, the series was hosted by Robert Englund and each episode was to revolve around three contestants facing their worst nightmares (get it?) and that, to me, sounds a million times cooler than FEAR FACTOR.
Now it's been well over 10 years since the show was canceled but now the guys over at Halloween Love got their hands on some rare BTS pics courtesy of one of the show's contestants, Annette Sharp.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: REAL NIGHTMARES synopsis via IMDb:
Despite what some people may think, this is not another sequel or another bash at a TV series. It's more of a game show. Freddy hosts and challenges contestants to face their fears. One reported contestant is afraid of Bulls, so Freddy places him in a Maze with a Minotaur.
