Cardi B knows money. Hell the famous rap star sung a whole song about the subject. And there's no denying the FAST AND THE FURIOUS franchise rakes in the moohlah. The last installment alone, THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS, earned over $1.2 billon worldwide. Well it seems as if the musician, known for songs like "Bodak Yellow" and "Press," is about to join the FURIOUS train.
It's been confirmed that the Bronx native will be joining the film in an unknown minor role. Suspicions began to arise that the rap star might join the movie when Diesel recently posted an Instagram video that featured Cardi B on the last day of shooting in the U.K.
This will not be B's first film however, as she recently made an appearance in Jennifer Lopez's HUSTLERS. You can read Matt Rooney's review here.
No word yet on whether or not Cardi B will be adding to the film's soundtrack, however considering that Latin music pop star Ozuna just joined the cast as well and will contribute, I'd say it's a strong possibility. Along side Cardi B and Diesel, the movie also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Charlize Theron, and John Cena.
FAST & FURIOUS 9 zooms its way into theaters May 22, 2020.
