After winning an Oscar for his performance as legendary Queen frontman Freddie Mercury for 20th Century Fox's BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, it's been announced that MR. ROBOT breakout star Rami Malek is in talks to star alongside Denzel Washington in an upcoming crime thriller titled LITTLE THINGS.

Directed and written by John Lee Hancock (THE FOUNDER, THE BLINDSIDE, SAVING MR. BANKS) with Mark Johnson producing, LITTLE THINGS will have Malek starring as a sharp young detective who teams with a seen-it-all deputy sheriff on the hunt for a serial killer. According to Deadline, who exclusively broke the news Monday afternoon, the sheriff "has a nose for the “little things” that are helpful in putting clues together, but he’s got baggage and a willingness to cut corners that bristles with his younger partners."

After lending his voice to the character Chee-Chee for director Stephen Gaghan's THE VOYAGE OF DOCTOR DOOLITTLE starring Robert Downey Jr., Malek has been cast as the villain in BOND 25. Set to be helmed by MANIAC's Cary Joji Fukunaga, BOND 25 find the legendary British spy having left active service. However, his peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

As for Mr. Washington, you can look forward to seeing Denzel star as Lord Macbeth in Joel Coen's upcoming feature, MACBETH. In the curious adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic play, a Scottish lord becomes convinced by a trio of witches that he will become the next King of Scotland, and his ambitious wife supports him in his plans of seizing power. Boy does that sound wacky. But hey, it's Joel Coen, so were you expecting anything less?

We'll be sure to bring you more updates pertaining to LITTLE THINGS as the project develops.
