Casting is really heating up for Stallone's RAMBO 5: THE LAST BLOOD. It was just yesterday that we let you guys know that the new film had added its first star other than Stallone in the form of actress Paz Vega. Vega will play "Carmen Delgado, a reporter who covers the Mexican drug trade and teams up with Rambo after her younger half-sister is kidnapped," and today we have word via THR that the young half-sister in question has been cast with Yvette Monreal (LOWRIDERS, see above) taking on the role.
On top of that, today we also have an all-new look at "Cowboy Rambo" via Stallone himself over on Instagram. The new pic showcases Rambo chilling out with a gaggle of guns in his man-cave. Check out the new pic below. God, I cannot wait to see Rambo slaughter motherf*ckers with cattle prods.
RAMBO 5: THE LAST BLOOD sees:
Vietnam vet John Rambo take on the Mexican drug cartels after the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped.
Avi Lerner’s Millennium is behind the film, which is directed by Adrian Grunberg (GET THE GRINGO) from a screenplay by Matthew Cirulnick (PAID IN FULL). Kevin King Templeton and Les Weldon are producing, with Lerner, Trevor Short, and Boaz Davidson exec producing. The fifth installment of the RAMBO franchise has started production and is currently shooting in Bulgaria and Spain. It will be released in fall 2019.
