Raimi directs Warcraft

It looks like James Cameron’s AVATAR will no longer be the talk of this year’s Comic-Con, not with the news that Sam Raimi will be directing the WARCRAFT movie. The film will be a live-action adaptation of the fantasy video game franchise “World of Warcraft”, which features an epic conflict between the Horde and the Alliance. Since its debut in 1994, the game has amassed a global following and has become synonymous with geek culture. With Raimi set to direct–the man responsible for the SPIDER-MAN and EVIL DEAD franchises, this is truly a match made in grape slurpee heaven. As if that wasn’t enough, THE DARK KNIGHT’s Charles Roven is on board to produce, with production set to begin once Raimi completes SPIDER-MAN 4. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m suddenly in the mood for some cheetos and some masturbation.
