Quentin Tarantino drops new Once Upon a Time in Hollywood character details

Quentin Tarantino's upcoming ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD is stacked to the brim with exceptional actors, but the stars of the film are two of the biggest in the business – Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. In Los Angeles circa 1969, everything in changing, and TV star Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt) are struggling to make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore.

While speaking with USA Today, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD writer/director Quentin Tarantino dropped a few new details about the main characters. In regards to Rick Dalton, Tarantino said that he's "a man full of inner turmoil and self-pity for not being in a better position, career-wise. But as is Rick’s way, he blames everybody but himself." As for Cliff Booth, the director added that the "indestructible" stunt double is a World War II hero and one of the deadliest guys alive. "He could kill you with a spoon, a piece of paper or a business card. Consequently, he is a rather Zen dude who is troubled by very little," Tarantino teased. There you have it, a few small details to keep you going while we await the release of the star-studded film, which, in addition to DiCaprio and Pitt, also stars Al Pacino, Margot Robbie, Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, Timothy Olyphant, Scoot McNairy, Luke Perry, Damian Lewis, and so many more.

The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.
