Production on Spectre moves to Rome for a classic James Bond car chase

Sam Mendes is making ample use of beautiful landscapes as the production team on SPECTRE has moved from the snowy Austrian alps to the sumptuous stone of Rome. The Bond crew will evidently spend a total of five-weeks in the area, with the focus being on a high-speed car chase taking alongside the Tiber river. The implementation of heavy cranes are said to be used for fishing out cars who meet a watery fate. Daniel Craig's Bond is also reported to be jumping from a helicopter and parachuting down to the Ponte Sisto bridge, among other acts of badassery that will undoubtedly take place.

While Martin Campbell introduced James Bond to modern audiences with CASINO ROYALE, Sam Mendes injected a sleek sense of class with SKYFALL. I'm ridiculously excited that MGM waited to have him return to the director's chair. If anything, Mendes proved that if the proper time is spent, a Bond movie can be a great film in its own right. I have high expectations for SPECTRE, but I also have faith that those expectations will be met.

SPECTRE, starring Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Monica Belluci, Dave Bautista, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Léa Seydoux, is scheduled to hit theaters November 6, 2015.
