I'm not certain who exactly is in the demographic for PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, but it's undeniable that they're doing an uncommonly good job with the film's promotional material, any way you slice it. Their newest poster is a bloody striking image, made even better for the fact that it's mimicking a lot of modern redesigns of the cover for the actual novel.
Less striking but no less entertaining is the newest TV spot, where the Jane Austen/zombie proportion is tipped healthily onto the side of the undead. You can check out both poster and TV spot below!
A zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in this reimagining of Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield in order to conquer the undead once and for all.
Directed by Burr Steers, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES stars Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Matt Smith, Charles Dance, and Lena Headey. It opens February 5th, just in time for Valentine's Day I guess.
