Michael Bay, Black Five, action

At this point, you can know almost exactly what to expect from a Michael Bay movie; slick action, fast cars, and attractive women. How has this guy not helmed a FAST & FURIOUS movie yet?

If you're a Michael Bay fan, then you'll be pleased to know that Deadline has reported that the director is currently in talks with Sony Pictures to helm BLACK FIVE, an ensemble drama which will naturally be "high on action" combined with a "gritty sci-fi element." BLACK FIVE will feature a big male lead, but that's about all we know of the project at this time. Variety added that their sources have said that the project is also being developed as a possible video-game franchise, although the film will obviously come together first. The script is currently being written by Ehren Kruger, who penned TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON, and TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION.

Michael Bay's next film will be 6 UNDERGROUND, an action flick written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick which stars Ryan Reynolds. The film, which also stars Dave Franco, Mélanie Laurent, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Corey Hawkins, and Ben Hardy, is said to revolve around "six billionaires who fake their own deaths and form an elite team to take down bad guys." The film doesn't have an official release date just yet, but is expected to hit Netflix this December.
